Winter Storm Juno: An NYC Snow Day

After countless city blizzard warnings; the worst of winter storm Juno has come and gone. Fortunately for some, it was not as bad as predicted but gave everyone me a day off to venture out into the winter wonderland.

Weather forecasts predicted Juno to become the worst blizzard in NYC history. It wasn’t. The anticipated 2 feet of snow turned out to be 10 inches in the city – 20 inches further out into Long Island. Mass transit shut down completely overnight and the city did not rise till late into the morning. Kids roamed the streets and parks prepared for a full snow day adventure, while adults tagged along enjoying their time away from work. With more snow on the horizon for NYC it may not be quite so pleasant for the rest of the work week.
